One Long Table

This is not stamping related, however, I wanted to share with you something that my husband and I did on Sunday.

We enjoyed a wonderfully prepared farm dinner out on Cape Cod at Bay End Farm. It was a beautiful collaboration between Bay End Farm in Buzzards Bay, The Blue Room Restaurant in Cambridge and Central Bottle in Central Square, all in Massachusetts.
The food was all picked fresh that day on the farm with The Blue Room providing the chefs and servers for the day. Central Bottle provided the wine pairings.

All the food outside of the farm is locally sourced. There was literally "one long table" for about 44 people right in the field under some beautiful shade trees. We enjoyed meeting some new folks, as well. Our daughter, who manages The Blue Room, introduced us to this concept a while ago and we were finally able to participate. We are looking forward to enjoying another dinner in the future.

Many farms are starting to host this kind of event. It is a terrific way to eat locally and try some great dishes prepared by an assortment of chefs as well. So, look for one near you. You won't be disappointed.
