I hope you'll consider it!

Inspired By Nature...

What a beautiful Sunday it was yesterday. I really like my summers and I do hope you enjoy them also.

As I was flipping through the New Idea Book and Catalog creating my wishlist, I came across a card that I thought I might like to recreate.

While I can't show you the picture in the catalog, you can certainly see it on page 96 if you have one in your possession now.

Autumn Days

When I was given the option of ordering this set at an extra 20% off because of Stampin' Up's! generous pre order period, I thought to myself, Thanksgiving will be here before you know it. Since it is my year to have Thanksgiving, using this set should be easy. However, I started to make some cards and this set lends itself to many possible card giving events, sympathy, get well, thinking of you...

I used the new In Colors of Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede.

The wheat image was done in Creamy Caramel and Chocolate Chip and I used my markers to ink the pheasant image. One thing that I did so that the pheasant isn't walking in air is to ground the image with an oval. I punched out one of the ovals and sponged in the middle of it. Almost like a mask.

Another Stampin' Up! tool that I rarely use and will be playing with again is the Color Spritzer. I found that it is sooooo easy to use and creates a color texture to the paper that is irresistable. I also sponged along side the Top Note and added a Dusty Durango polka dot grosgrain ribbon.

These new In Colors go so well together. All supplies are Stampin' Up!

Season's Greetings!

Season's Greetings! I am NOT kidding! I saw a similar card in Stampin' Up's! NEW catalog and wanted to duplicate it.

I did not have some of the NEW Designer Series Paper, however, that did not stop me.

I used Old Olive cardstock for the base. I stamped Whisper White snowflakes from Short and Sweet onto the Soft Suede cardstock. I cut out a scallop with my Big Shot. I used some Designer Series Paper from Flock Together (which is not retiring) for the Stampin' Up! die cut leaves sizzlet.

I returned to Many Merry Messages and retrieved the Season's Greetings stamp in the set and stamped in Soft Suede and added an Old Olive grograin ribbon.

Father's Day Card

When I saw this card on Angie Kennedy's blog, I knew that this would be my Father's Day card to Dad. It is quite simple and not fussy at all.

I did have to change it up a bit as I do not have the double stitched Chocolate Chip ribbon. I also changed the layered background and the size of the card. Another difference is the card was made using a second layer of Whisper White cardstock. I ran that through the Big Shot with the Texturz Background Plates.

Like Angie, I stamped the "d for dad" twice then cut out a square and popped it up using a Stampin' Dimensional.

All supplies are Stampin' Up!

Stamp Set:

Eight Great Greetings
Cardstock:
Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Ink:
Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Texturz Plate for Big Shot, Stampin' Dimensionals.

Sweet Stems

I saw a similar card at a recent Stamping With Style meeting and while I don't remember the Demo who made it, I thought to myself, what a lovely card.

I couldn't use the ribbon she used as I don't have the So Saffron grograin, however, I used Whisper White instead.

The images are from Sweet Stems and colored with the Brocade Blue marker. The center is inked with So Saffron and then I used my two way glue to add some Dazzling Diamonds.

Birthday Wishes is from WOW Flowers stamp set and that is stamped in Basic Black. The flower images are layered onto So Saffron and then layered onto Brocade Blue. The layers are mounted onto Whisper White cardstock.

Upsy Daisy and Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper

I really like the Upsy Daisy Stamp Set, so when I was thinking of using the NEW Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper, I thought about the new In Colors as well.

Here is Upsy Daisy stamped with Melon Mambo. I added a piece of Designer Series Paper across the top and a strip of Crushed Curry in the middle.

The Scallop is Rich Razzleberry cardstock, the 1 3/8" punched circle is Pumpkin Pie, the 1 1/4" punched circle is Melon Mambo and the "C" is from Lovely Letters Alphabet stamped in Rich Razzleberry. All supplies are Stampin' Up!

Animal Stories

Sometimes I challenge myself to use colors that I don't normally use. Garden Green is one of them. While I am an Earth Element fan, I seldom use it because of the Old Olive within that color family.

Here is a direct to paper inking for the background. I used Garden Green and the side of the ink pad to apply the ink in different directions.

The strip in the background is Sahara Sand along with some brads for effect.

The animals are Crushed Curry, Basic Gray and Stampin' Up's NEW Dusty Durango. I stamped the images on Whisper White and layered onto Bermuda Bay.

See! That Bermuda Bay is going to go with many other colors!

Another Circle Circus

Today I used Circle Circus again. I like to make quick and simple cards to show the ease it is to make them.

This sample is made with Stampin' Up's NEW Bermuda Bay In Color. The strip of yellow is the NEW Crushed Curry In Color and the ribbon is the NEW Bermuda Bay Polka Dotted ribbon. I used the largest circle and cut it out with my scallop punch and used one of the Fire Brads that I seem to hoard all the time.

I am going to make it a practice to stop hoarding and start using my brads, buttons, and clips.

Circle Circus

This new stamp set offers quite a few options for adding embellishments for your cardmaking and scrapbooking projects.

Here I used Stampin' Up's new Melon Mambo as the base. The cardstock colors are Soft Suede, Whisper White, Cameo Coral, and So Saffron. Melon Mambo coordinates beautifully with with these choices. The inks I used were Soft Suede, Melon Mambo, Cameo Coral and Sahara Sand.

Did you know in the new catalog, you can purchase the paper piercer separately? I also used Stampin' Up's scallop punch to scallop the Cameo Coral cardstock.
