Simple Friendship

Just a different card size. I like to change it up sometimes. And, sometimes certain designs lend themselves to a different size. In the bottom picture, I ran the envelope through the Big Shot Embossing Folder. LOVE THE LOOK!

One Of A Kind

A card doesn't have to be complicated or fussy to give to someone for whatever occasion comes along. This stamp set is One Of A Kind. I wanted to show you the inside as well.

Upsy Daisy Embossed

This card is my Aunt's birthday card. I wanted to pull out this set and use it on some upcoming cards. I embossed the daisies in white embossing powder. I used one of the butterflies from Flight Of The Butterfly and punched it out with our new Butterfly punch.

Limited Supplies Friday

Today is a Limited Supplies card. I decided to play along with Friday's Weekly Challenge from Splitcoaststampers. "For today’s Limited Supplies Challenge, we are making masculine cards – for those men in our lives who are teens and adults! (Those are the challenging ones, aren’t they sometimes? It is easier for me to make a card for a little boy!)" No, flowers, bling or ribbon. HA! Easier said, than done!

Very simple, using Wonderful Favorites and the Perfect Details Texturz Plates. The cardstock and ink are Soft Suede. The "To my and husband are stamped in Basic Black

Rudolph

I told you this was going to be a Sparkly and Bright week! I stamped Rudolph in Close to Cocoa and colored his nose in Real Red. I added some Dazzling Diamonds to his nose.

I had ordered the Sparkly Jumbo wheel and I wheeled the bottom of the card in Chocolate Chip.

I wanted to show quick and easy cards that don't take a lot of time and are not fussy. That is definitely my style.

Sparkly and Bright!

Today's card is a redo of yesterday, however, with different colors. Again, I went back and added some Dazzling Diamonds. You would think that I was catching on to the sparkly and bright theme here and would have added the Dazzling Diamonds on my own. Yesterday I received an email from my friend and customer Sue who said that yesterday's card needed some sparkle. Below is a redo of the card from yesterday. I know what you all are thinking right now, big deal, it doesn't look any different, but in real life it does, it is just my camera skills. Another note to self: Learn to use the lighting on the camera. A great big THANKS, Sue!

Just Two Colors.....

Just two colors were used in the making of this card, not including the ribbon. Garden Green and Whisper White. Very simple and easy card. While I like simplicity, sometimes I will put the card aside and look at it later and Voila! it comes to me what I should do. Not in this case, I know it needs something extra, but I haven't figured it out yet.

A Sparkly and Bright Kind Of Week....

With this card, I used Santa from Sparkly and Bright and Merry Christmas from All Holidays.

I did use Dazzling Diamonds on Santa's hat and bottom of his jacket. I guess you could call it a jacket. Chocolate Chip and Real Red were used along with Whisper White.

Sparkly and Bright!

I am back from a weeklong hiatus. On Sunday, my husband, son and I drove his car back to Florida to move him into his new apartment before he started school at the end of August. We drove straight through only stopping for gas, food and bathroom breaks. It took us about 18 hours total. Note to self and others: Beware if you drove with men, they tend NOT to want to stop for long bathroom breaks! When I mean long, we are only talking 5- 10 minutes. This amount of time was an eternity to them.

Thursday morning we flew back and between the laundry, errands, and other assorted things to do, I was not able to get many posts out.

I did receive a box from Stampin' Up! on the day we came back and it was some goodies that I couldn't wait to play with.
I ordered the NEW Sparkly and Bright Stamp Set for some workshops that I have scheduled. I wanted to play with it and see what I could do with it. I love this playful style. I will be posting a few more samples over the next few days. When I placed my order, I totally forgot to order the Christmas Cocoa Designer Series Paper and Merry Moments. But guess what, they are on my order form now.

If you look closely at the card, I used my Perfect Details Texturz Plate on the Whisper White background layer. I also embossed some Irridescent Ice embossing powder over the whole image and heat set. Some of the images are difficult to see at the bottom, but hop on over to my website and you can view them there.

WOW! I was at the Stampin' Up! Convention and made famous!!!!!

My fourth upline, Christina Crawford is doing a presentation at the Stampin' Up! Convention on Stampin' Up's! line of vinyl artwork called Decor Elements!

I have said it before and I will say it again, "I love them!"

While I did not go to convention this year, she showed some pictures of me with the hives that I sent to her in April. I guess that makes me famous! I received several texts on my phone from my peers who were there and they were so excited to see me on stage. They said that Christina was surprised by the whoopin and hollerin going on and they were able to see and talk with her afterwards. Thank you, Christina! You're the best!

My Family

Thursday night was the last night that all three of my children would be home for the summer. Lindsay (blonde, oldest) lives and works in Boston. Michael (youngest) goes to school in Florida (Embry Riddle) and Jacky (middle) lives at home and works as a hair stylist. We go to this creamery in Newtown that has dairy cows and sells homemade ice cream at it's location. This is how we spent the evening. We always have a terrific time. Jacky's boyfriend, Kevin, came and took these pictures for us. And of course, the LOVE of my life, my husband and best friend, Ed.

Simplicity At It's Best!

Here is a post on using magazines as inspiration. This magazine is Card Creations Vol 6. The designer of this card is Nicole Keller.

The simplicity of this card lends itself to any image that is nature related. A bee with flowers, etc.

Since I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I am always on the lookout for ways to use Stampin' Up! only products.

Below you will find the card that I made using SU! only supplies.

Stamp Club #3

This is the third project made at Club Night. It is a corner bookmark. I thought that it was a good project as many people like to read in the summer and it makes a nice gift also.

Stamp Club #2

This is the second project we made at Club Night last week. It is an ice cream cone made with punches. If you look carefully, the cone has been run through the Background Texturz Plate #4 on Creamy Caramel.

The Designer Series Paper is from the Razzleberry Lemonade group. The cardbase is Melon Mambo.

If you would like to participate, let me know. Groups are always forming.

Stamp Club #1

This is one of the projects we made last week in my Girl's Night Out Stamp Club.

The club got to use the Big Shot Movers and Shapers Big XL die and then used the Magnetic Movers and Shapers set of four die cuts. You can view them on page 201 of the 2009-2010 Idea Book and Catalog.

The cardbase is Bermuda Bay. I like this color with good old Basic Black.

Razzleberry Lemonade Tri Panel

I wanted to show you a tri panel card made with the Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper. It is very simple and a great way to use the different papers that come in the set.

I stamped With Heartfelt Sympathy in Rich Razzlebery and adhered that to a layer of Pumpkin Pie and Rich Razzleberry.

The felt flower in the corner is from Flower Fusion on page 180 and in the center is an Old Olive brad from the Earth Elements brad collection.
